A title for Anna Branagan.

Anna has 25 years’ experience as a Speech and Language Therapist. Anna trained in Leeds and now works for the NHS in both Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.

In her specialist role she supports schools to develop inclusive practice, making changes at a whole school level. Anna also works within a Youth Support Team with vulnerable teenagers. She is co-author of best-selling resources ‘Language for Thinking’ and ‘Word Aware’.

A title for Stephen Parsons.

Stephen is a Speech and Language Therapist, trainer and author of practical language development resources for teachers and SaLT.

From 1996–2017 Stephen worked as a Speech and Language Therapy Service Manager in Hackney and the City of London. With 30 years’ experience in the field, he is co-author of best-selling resources ‘Language for Thinking’ and ‘Word Aware’. Stephen graduated in Speech Pathology from Flinders University, before attaining an MSc in Speech and Language Therapy from City University in 2000. He currently serves as Chair of NAPLIC, the UK organisation for professionals working with developmental language disorder, and UK representative of RADLD, the international campaign to raise awareness of developmental language disorder.
 
A title for Jules Daulby.

Jules Daulby is an experienced inclusion, literacy and assistive technology specialist, writer and public speaker. She has worked in education for more than 20 years as a teacher and in strategic and advisory roles.

Jules is also a national leader for and , both set up to support existing and aspiring leaders in education and technology. She also campaigns for the prevention of exclusionary practice in mainstream schools. Jules sits on panels as an inclusion expert for the DfE’s Standards and Testing Agency, regularly gives keynote lectures, and writes for publications such as such as Schools Week, Teach Primary and the Times Educational Supplement. Jules is committed to inclusive and comprehensive education.
A title for Catherine Ruggles.


Catherine Ruggles is a Director of Software Engineering and Site Lead for Google in London. For over 40 years, Catherine has been involved with the design, development, and management of software products and companies.

She began her career in the late 70's working on software to dispatch NYC fire engines. In 1990, she joined the Peter Norton Group of Symantec as Director of Internal Development. During the 90's she was responsible for multiple teams that released many best-selling products such as Norton Utilities and Norton Antivirus. After leaving Symantec, Catherine lead engineering at two venture-backed and one bootstrapped startup before joining Google.
A title for Bukky Yusuf.

Bukky Yusuf teaches secondary sciences to A level. She has undertaken a number of leadership roles within mainstream / special schools and is also an ambassador for Leadership Matters.

Bukky has been a leader in the field of educator professional development and educational technology training. Bukky uses her experience with professional development, technology integration and effective pedagogical strategies to help teachers adopt mobile learning environments that aid in class and out of hours learning. Beyond the classroom, Bukky has a variety of Ed(ucation) Tech(nology) experiences which includes participating as a judge for The EdTech50 Schools and serving as an Education Board Member for Innovate My School.
 
A title for Rosie Bowness Clarke.

Rosie is a highly specialised speech and language therapist. Rosie trained in Newcastle and now works in Ealing.

She is a clinical lead for developmental language disorder and works in specialist provisions in both primary and secondary schools supporting students with language disorders and significant speech sound disorders. Rosie is passionate about inclusive practice. She regularly plans and delivers bespoke training packages for schools and works alongside teaching staff

Animator and illustrator specialising in 2D animation and motion graphics. Carla’s animations and illustrations help to give meaning to scientific vocabulary.

Co-Founder and Educator

Caroline is an outstanding specialist physics and science teacher who leads on the development of our inclusive resources. Before founding Lift Lessons, Caroline brought her commitment to inclusive, evidence-based teaching and learning to comprehensive secondary school science education.

Caroline has a Masters of Engineering and Architecture from the University of Sheffield, and prior to becoming a teacher had a background as a structural engineer where she designed and executed creative projects. Caroline brings her vision, pedagogical and technical skills to lead on the development of all of our content.

Co-Founder and Educator

Andrea is a science and special education teacher who is passionate about inclusive and empowering education. Before founding Lift Lessons, Andrea led an Additionally Resourced Provision for students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs, which was rated outstanding by Ofsted in March 2019, while she was the ARP Centre Manager.

Andrea currently works as an elementary teacher in BC, Canada. Andrea and all of the team are committed to the social purpose of Lift Lessons and she is a member of the 2019 Fellowship cohort at the London School of Social Entrepreneurs.
