A title for Anna Branagan.

Anna has 25 years’ experience as a Speech and Language Therapist. Anna trained in Leeds and now works for the NHS in both Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.

In her specialist role she supports schools to develop inclusive practice, making changes at a whole school level. Anna also works within a Youth Support Team with vulnerable teenagers. She is co-author of best-selling resources ‘Language for Thinking’ and ‘Word Aware’.

A title for Stephen Parsons.

Stephen is a Speech and Language Therapist, trainer and author of practical language development resources for teachers and SaLT.

From 1996–2017 Stephen worked as a Speech and Language Therapy Service Manager in Hackney and the City of London. With 30 years’ experience in the field, he is co-author of best-selling resources ‘Language for Thinking’ and ‘Word Aware’. Stephen graduated in Speech Pathology from Flinders University, before attaining an MSc in Speech and Language Therapy from City University in 2000. He currently serves as Chair of NAPLIC, the UK organisation for professionals working with developmental language disorder, and UK representative of RADLD, the international campaign to raise awareness of developmental language disorder.

Co-Founder and Educator

Caroline is an outstanding specialist physics and science teacher who leads on the development of our inclusive resources. Before founding Lift Lessons, Caroline brought her commitment to inclusive, evidence-based teaching and learning to comprehensive secondary school science education.

Caroline has a Masters of Engineering and Architecture from the University of Sheffield, and prior to becoming a teacher had a background as a structural engineer where she designed and executed creative projects. Caroline brings her vision, pedagogical and technical skills to lead on the development of all of our content.

Co-Founder and Educator

Andrea is a science and special education teacher who is passionate about inclusive and empowering education. Before founding Lift Lessons, Andrea led an Additionally Resourced Provision for students with Speech, Language and Communication Needs, which was rated outstanding by Ofsted in March 2019, while she was the ARP Centre Manager.

Andrea currently works as an elementary teacher in BC, Canada. Andrea and all of the team are committed to the social purpose of Lift Lessons and she is a member of the 2019 Fellowship cohort at the London School of Social Entrepreneurs.

Animator and illustrator specialising in 2D animation and motion graphics. Carla’s animations and illustrations help to give meaning to scientific vocabulary.

A title for Oliver Jackson.

Animator from Leeds Arts University with a focus on 2D digital animations. Oliver creates animations that support understanding of key words in science.
